Like every region in Genshin Impact, Fontaine is full of mystery, secrets, and treasure. Among its many discoveries, the Fontaine Shrine of Depths stands out as one of the most rewarding to find. Each Shrine of Depths is locked, and you’ll need a Fontaine Shrine of Depths Key to open it — these keys are mostly obtained by leveling up the Statues of the Seven in Fontaine.

Opening a Shrine rewards you with 40 Primogems, 10 Hydro Sigils, Adventure EXP, and several rare weapons and artifacts. Not bad for a quick detour underwater or across a mountainside. So, where are they all hiding? Let’s go over every Fontaine Shrine of Depths location as of Version 4.6.

Fontaine Shrine of Depths – Southern Locations

1. Elton Trench

The first Shrine is located between the Beryl and Belleau regions. Dive underwater just south of the Teleport Waypoint — you’ll spot the Shrine resting deep in the trench.

2. Beryl Region

This Shrine sits on a rocky island in the Beryl area, built against a cliff on the north side. Glide from the northeast Teleport Waypoint and you’ll land right next to it.

3. Court of Fontaine

You’ll find this one north of the Court of Fontaine. Teleport to Echoes of the Deep Tides Domain and walk southeast. It’s next to a small group of fruit trees.

4. Marcotte Station

Overlooking the ocean, this Shrine lies on a green slope west of Marcotte Station. It’s visible from the Waypoint — or swim to it from a nearby underwater portal.

Northern Fontaine Shrine of Depths

5. Central Laboratory Ruins

This Shrine is underwater — dive into the gorge near the ruins and look for a faint blue glow. You’ll see it near the bottom, surrounded by mechanical debris.

6. New Fontaine Research Institute

Up in the mountains, this Shrine can be reached by gliding down from the floating Hydro cubes’ Waypoint. The view from here is worth the climb.

Eastern Fontaine Shrine of Depths

7. Weeping Willow of the Lake

On a grassy slope near the bright yellow willow tree, this Shrine is hard to miss. Fast travel to the Waypoint northeast of the lake to spot it quickly.

8. Loch Urania

Found high in the mountains northeast of Loch Urania. Start at the foot of the slope near the Teleport Waypoint and make your way uphill — the Shrine awaits near the top.

Sea of Bygone Eras Shrines

These final two Shrines were added in Version 4.6, hidden in the underwater zone unlocked during the Canticles of Harmony world quest.

9. Sea of Bygone Eras – West

Swim upward from the western waypoint and look northeast. The Shrine is perched on a ledge covered in coral.

10. Sea of Bygone Eras – East

Located high on the cliffs, this Shrine is surrounded by glowing blue seaweed. Approach it from the northeast teleport and swim slightly southwest to reach it.

With all ten Fontaine Shrine of Depths found and unlocked, you’ll not only earn hundreds of Primogems but also uncover more of Fontaine’s breathtaking underwater world. Whether you’re exploring the deep trenches or gliding across the sky islands, every Shrine you open is a small victory on your Genshin Impact journey.
